About Channing Nesbitt

Over the past several years, I’ve built a career at the intersection of technology, social impact and strategic partnerships—working across both the private, government and nonprofit sectors to help organizations scale responsibly and sustainably.

beMost recently, I supported the growth of Salesforce Ventures’ global portfolio. In this role, I worked with early- and growth-stage startups to forge strategic partnerships and new customer relationships, particularly with Fortune 500 companies navigating enterprise tech adoption. I collaborated across industry-agnostic funds—including our Generative AI Fund, Impact Fund, and regional funds—to help our most innovative portfolio companies find success within the Salesforce ecosystem. I also worked closely with Salesforce’s sustainability teams to support Impact Fund companies as they built ESG reporting strategies and scaled their environmental and social readiness.

Before joining Salesforce Ventures, I served as a program and project manager at Tableau Software, where I led high-impact initiatives across the company’s social impact portfolio. This included managing the $20M+ Racial Justice Data Initiative, providing funding, software, and data capacity to grassroots organizations across the U.S. I also co-led the development of the Data Equity Hub—an open platform aimed at democratizing access to data and supporting a community of equity-focused data practitioners.

I hold a BA in Economics and Political Science, and an MPA in Public Finance and Management from the University of Washington. During undergrad, I also played four years of NCAA Division I Baseball for the Washington Huskies.

Currently, I’m completing the Bonderman Fellowship—a yearlong, solo travel fellowship that supports global exploration, research and personal growth. I’m using this time to travel across several continents, immersing myself in different cultures while also conducting specific research focused on various economic drivers and entrepreneurship. I'm also spending this time reflecting on the role of identity, movement, and purpose in both my personal and professional life.
